CAT (Combat Application Tourniquet)

Description

This is the Official Tourniquet of the US Army. It is designed to be applied with one hand in case someone has to treat themselves. According to the US Army’s Institute of Surgical Research, CATs are proven to be 100% effective in occluding blood flow in both upper & lower extremities. This is thanks to the windlass and internal band that provides consistent circumferential pressure to the limb. This Tourniquet is a lifesaving device and should only be used by trained and qualified professionals to stop bleeding in the event of traumatic injury.
